He sat me down and told me everything he thought was wonderful about me. He gave me thoughtful, deep advice. He left me in awe, as he always does. He always knows just what to say, and it is so full of maturity and wisdom.
Sometimes we all get so pushed down by the trivial, and even important things that effect our lives. I am so lucky to have someone who can see the good in me, and bring it out. He has so much good in him as well, and that is definitely a major reason I fell for him and love him so very much. He attracts the good, and repels everything bad.
Yesterday I walked past a squirrel and had two thoughts: He is lucky that his life is so simple. Simple is not always best. He missees out on all the colors of a complex life. We as humans get to see, feel, understand, and appreciate so much more. Yes, one of these is pain, but the other is true joy. We get to enjoy symphonies, cognitive thought, meaningful relationships. We are so blessed, and we need to appreciate what we have been given.
With these things said, I thought this post might be about some of the things that make me happy...
sunshine, of course!
music, always
(this is me when I was little!)
a big bowl of cereal
long drives
sleeping in
deep conversations
There is so much more that makes me happy, whether I am sad or not. These are probably my favorites, or those that instantly put me in a better mood, and keep me there.I am so grateful that every day is a new day, and I get a chance to start over and be better. I get a new chance to throw away anything negative, and maintain and build upon the positive.
Thank you to everyone in my life that has helped me pick myself back up and get back on the horse. I couldn't be where I am today without you. Thank you in advance to all those who will be there for me in the future. I really am eternally grateful.
